Why can’t I access or view my mentee’s ePortfolio?
There are several reasons why you may be unable to access your mentee’s ePortfolio in the MAHARA portal. Please review the common issues and solutions below.
🔍 Possible Reasons & Solutions
1. You are opening the ePortfolio incorrectly
This usually happens when mentees submit their ePortfolio via the eLearn portal submission link.
✅ Correct way to access the ePortfolio:
- Log in to the eLearn portal.
- Open a new browser tab/window and log in to the MAHARA portal. ⚠️ Keep this MAHARA session open throughout the grading process.
- Return to the eLearn portal and go to the ePortfolio submission section.
- Locate your mentee’s submission.
- Copy the submitted link.
- Open a new tab, paste the link, and press Enter.
- You should now be able to view the ePortfolio.

2. The mentee has not shared their ePortfolio with you
You will not be able to access the ePortfolio if sharing permissions are not set.
✅ Solution:
- Ask your mentee to verify that the ePortfolio has been shared with you correctly.

3. The mentee submitted the wrong ePortfolio link
An incorrect or incomplete link will prevent access.
✅ Solution:
- Ask your mentee to double-check and resubmit the correct link.

4. Access duration has been restricted
The ePortfolio may only be accessible within a limited time frame.
✅ Solution:
- Ask your mentee to review their access settings and
- Remove or disable any time restrictions
