I get a “This site can’t be reached” error when trying to access the MAHARA platform

If you encounter the error “This site can’t be reached” when trying to open the MAHARA platform, it usually indicates a connectivity or access issue, not a problem with your account.

🔍 Possible Causes & Solutions

1. Incorrect URL

  • You may be using an outdated or incorrect link.

Solution: Ensure you are accessing MAHARA through the official eLearn portal or the correct URL, https://mahara.imu.edu.my/mahara/

2. Internet Connection Issue

  • Your device may not be connected to the IMU network (IMU WiFi), which could be required to access the MAHARA platform.

Solution: Connect to the IMU network (IMU WiFi) and check that your internet connection is stable, then refresh or reload the page to try again.

  • Your browser cache or settings may interfere with loading the site.

Solution: Clear your browser cache and cookies. Try using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox).

If the issue persists after trying all the above steps, contact your our eLearning support team as the problem may be related to server availability or access permissions.
