How to activate your IMU access to AMBOSS

For eligible IMU students and faculty ((Medicine and Dentistry)


AMBOSS access is linked to your IMU account through single sign-on (SSO). Choose the instructions below based on whether you already have an AMBOSS account.

If you are new to AMBOSS

  1. Go to the AMBOSS sign-in page.
  2. Select Log in through your institution.
  3. Enter your IMU email address and follow the IMU SSO prompts.
  4. Once signed in, select your profile icon → Manage account → Membership & licenses to check your access.


If you already have an AMBOSS account

  1. Sign in to your existing AMBOSS account.
  2. Select your profile icon → Manage account → Contact details & settings.
  3. Scroll to Institution sign-in and select Connect.
  4. Enter your IMU email address, then follow the IMU SSO prompts to link your account.
  5. Check Membership & licenses to confirm that your institutional access is active.


Access not showing? Sign out of AMBOSS and sign in again. If it still does not appear, contact the eLearning Helpdesk to check your eligibility, or contact AMBOSS Support. Completing SSO activates the licence only when you are included in IMU’s eligible user list.
