# Video, Audio and Image file formats supported by Microsoft Stream / Clipchamp

|| In the Microsoft Clipchamp video editor, you can add almost any type of video, image, or audio file to a project.

## Video file formats supported by Clipchamp

Clipchamp video editor will accept **MP4, MOV, WEBM, AVI, DIVX, FLV, 3GP, WMV, VOB, DCM,** and **MKV** video container files, as well as a wide variety of video codecs. Some of these file types are getting automatically converted before they can be used in your project so you may have to wait longer for affected files to load.

If you're not sure if your input file is supported, simply add it, and see if Clipchamp is able to recognize it.

Accepted video resolutions include 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K.

AV1 encoded videos are not yet supported.

At present, HDR media assets (videos and photos) are not supported.
