# How to use Microsoft Teams on the web

You can use Teams in a desktop web browser without opening the Teams desktop app.
1. Open a supported browser and go to [teams.microsoft.com](https://teams.microsoft.com).
2. Sign in with your **IMU Microsoft 365 account**. Follow the IMU single sign-on prompts and complete any additional verification requested.
3. If the browser asks whether to open the Teams app, choose the option to **continue in your browser**.
4. Allow access to your **microphone and camera** when prompted if you need them for a meeting. You can then use Teams to view chats, channels and meetings.

## Supported browsers

Teams on the web supports recent desktop versions of **Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox** on Windows, macOS and Linux, and **Safari** on macOS. Keep your browser updated.

Teams on the web is **not supported in mobile browsers**; use the Teams mobile app on a phone or tablet.

|| Recommended: Use the Microsoft Teams desktop app on your regular computer. If the app is unavailable, use Teams on the web in a supported desktop browser. For a phone or tablet, use the Teams mobile app.
