# How do I join a Kahoot game?

You can join a Kahoot game using one of the following methods:

### [Option 1: Join using a Game PIN](https://support.kahoot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039890713-Kahoot-join-How-to-join-a-Kahoot-game#h_01FZWE0D04BATCWCGFBHPDKTDX)
1. Go to kahoot.it or open the Kahoot app.
2. Enter the Game PIN provided by your instructor.
3. Enter your nickname.
4. Click Join and wait for the game to start.

1. Click the Kahoot game link shared by your instructor.
2. The game will open in your web browser or Kahoot app (if installed).
3. Enter your nickname and join the game

1. Scan the QR code displayed by the instructor using your device.
2. Follow the instructions to open the game.
3. Enter your nickname and join.

**Requirements:**
* A computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
* A supported web browser or Kahoot app.
* A stable internet connection.
* A Game PIN, link, or QR code provided by the instructor.

| **You do not need a Kahoot account to join a game unless the instructor has enabled additional identification settings.
If you leave a live game and rejoin, you may need to enter a new nickname and your previous points may not be restored**
